La tempesta tropicale Fernand si è formata nell’Oceano Atlantico: rimane lontana dalla terraferma e si prevedeva che rimanga in mare aperto. Il National Hurricane Center statunitense ha riferito che la tempesta si trova a circa 520 km a Sud/Est delle Bermuda. Fa registrare venti massimi sostenuti di 65 km/h e si dirige verso Nord-Nord/Est a 26 km/h. Il centro uragani ha affermato che Fernand dovrebbe passare a Est delle Bermuda e che non sono in vigore avvisi o allerte costiere.
